Arizona governor Jan Brewer recently released a video response to the President of the United States apparently finding humor in Arizona's new immigration law.  See the video here.

Less School Budget Concern

There's better budget news after the Monday Frederick County School Board budget worksession. Superintendent Patricia Taylor presented new options based on the House and Senate spending blueprints. They would bring a shortfall of $2.1 million or $2.5 million, instead of the $7.1 million via former Governor Kaine's budget that Taylor's original proposal was based. The new options no longer contain a 1.5 percent salary reduction and all or almost all of the 39 job cuts are taken off the table. Doing away with 9th grade sports is still advised.
