The 19th Annual Pedal for Pooches bike tour to benefit The Briggs Animal Adoption Center (BAAC) will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2020. Check in begins at 8:30 a.m. and event begins at 10 a.m.
Participants have the option of riding on courses either 9, 16, 21, 30 or 36 miles through Jefferson and Clarke counties. Support and gear (SAG) support and rest stops are provided along the route. The ride begins and ends at the BAAC, located on Route 340 in Charles Town. Participants are invited to tour this nationally-recognized animal adoption center and see firsthand how their support is put to use.
“Each year, we are grateful to the bike riders from around the quad-state, and beyond, who participate in our annual Pedal for Pooches (and kittens too!) to help raise funds to care for the homeless cats and dogs who will find their way to our doors,” said Jim Taylor, president of The National Humane Education Society, the parent organization of the BAAC.
The BAAC is a program of NHES, a private nonprofit organization that relies solely on charitable donations to carry out its program services. The BAAC’s mission is to place companion animals in loving homes with compassionate people who will make lifelong commitments to them by accepting them as a member of their family.
